European Lobster
HOMARUS GAMMARUS
There are two main species of lobster, one American, the other European. The European lobster is medium sized (up to 5 kg maximum) and rather blue and dark in colour. The American lobster is brown, is fished in winter and can occasionally weigh more than 15 kg (17 kg is the record).
