Seahorses
HIPPOCAMPUS HIPPOCAMPUS
These cute seahorses created by Mother Nature never lose their appeal. They live in coastal seagrass beds and have a peculiarity that is specific to syngnathidae: it is the males who bring the young into the world. With their tubular mouth, they feed mainly on zooplankton. Since 2004, they have been protected under Appendix II of CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species).
