Shovelnose guitarfish

The shovelnose guitarfish lives in the tropical coastal waters of the Indian and Pacific Oceans. It is a good swimmer that lives on the ocean bed. It prefers sandy areas where it can hunt crustaceans, molluscs and fish. It is viviparous with litters ranging from four to nine young.
